Batch unit converter for CSV and spreadsheets
Paste numbers or CSV rows, select units, and export up to 1,000 converted results. Mixed-unit rows and error reports are supported; everything runs locally.
CSV settings Input columns, delimiter, mixed-unit rows
For spreadsheet files, choose the 1-based column containing the numbers. Headers named Value, Input, Amount, Number, Weight or Quantity are skipped.
Leave both blank to use the From/To selectors above. For mixed-unit CSV, fill both columns (for example value in column 2, from in column 3, to in column 4). Accepted labels include lb, kg, °C, °F, ms and exact ConvertUnits.cc IDs. For knots (speed), enter knot; for kilonewtons (force), enter kN. The ambiguous lowercase kn is rejected rather than guessed. Each row is checked for compatible dimensions.
Up to 1,000 data rows and 20 selectable columns. Supports plain numbers, CSV and tab-separated tables, including line breaks inside properly quoted text fields. Files stay on your device. Original source columns and headers remain in downloaded CSV; invalid rows are reported individually.
Your numbers never leave the browser.
CSV and spreadsheet input: how it works
Select a unit pair, paste a numeric column or a comma-, tab-, or semicolon-separated table, then choose which numbered column contains the measurements. For example, select column 2 for a table with item, value followed by parcel,149. The converter recognizes a value header and reports the original physical line number of invalid cells. Correctly quoted CSV notes can contain multiple lines without splitting the measurement record.
Output format: the downloadable CSV contains the line number, input, source unit, converted result, target unit and status. The export preserves original spreadsheet columns and headers, then appends line number, converted result, source/target units and row status. Choose one fixed pair or specify two columns for each row's source and target units; incompatible rows report an error without losing valid rows.
Decimal commas, errors and privacy
Values such as 1,5 can mean either a decimal in some locales or two comma-separated cells. Automatic detection rejects ambiguous cases rather than silently converting the wrong number; use a decimal point (1.5) or explicitly choose a file delimiter.
Up to 1,000 data rows are processed locally. When using row-specific units, one CSV file can combine weight, time, temperature and other compatible conversions. Invalid or dimension-mismatched rows remain in the output with source line numbers; no account, upload, paid service or remote conversion API is required.
